Our homes

We own and manage around 1,300 homes within 50 miles of Cambridge and have a programme to build more homes.   Through our asset management strategy we aim to improve the environmental impact of our older homes.  We aim to ensure that all new homes that we build are able to adapt and evolve to the impacts of climate change over time.  We will achieve this by:

• Setting and monitoring clear energy/waste efficiency targets in our asset and investment strategies
• Only developing new homes which are sustainable in communities where we can deliver efficient services
• Increasing our understanding and knowledge of renewable energy systems through pilot projects
• Having clear design standards which deliver energy/water efficiency and the use of sustainable construction materials
• Dovetailing our procurement practises to our sustainability strategy so we support the use of local services and businesses in the areas we operate
