Interview with Mary Gibbons, CEO

Interview with Mary Gibbons, CEO

Mary Gibbons is the newly appointed  CEO of Hundred Houses Society.  Our social media team caught up with her to get to know her a bit better.

What is your mission for the future of the housing association?

Mary:  We have an exciting new mission…”Great value, Better Services, More Homes.”

What makes you so passionate about working for our housing association?

Mary:   The opportunity to change lives and create great communities. I feel passionately that everyone should have the opportunity to live in a good quality and truly affordable home.

I love working in partnership with our customers and enabling them to influence how we tailor our services. I enjoy working as part of a great team and have been made very welcome at 100 Houses, the team are committed and feel passionate about what we want to achieve.

What part do you think customers have to play in the future of the housing association?

Mary: Customers are the reason why we are here.  I would like customers to assist us in developing brilliant services, by giving continuous feedback about how well we are doing and what we can improve.

We are coming into an exciting time of change for the organisation, with the development of Eastfield coming up.  What are you doing to make sure that the residents keep up-to-date and feel part of these changes?

Mary: It is really important to make sure that everyone is well informed. We have been working closely with our customers and partners for a long time.  Our housing teams have already had lots of contact with local residents. We have held consultation evenings about the regeneration and the plans are available in our reception should anyone want to see them.  We are also switching over to digital communications, which will mean it is quicker and more cost effective to contact customers.  Every resident will be receiving an information leaflet about this in August.

We have also tailored our approach to individual households. The housing team has been visiting individual homes to answer any final questions customers have about the regeneration.
