Governance explained

Governance is the name generally given to the framework of rules, practices and standards by which our Board controls, directs and monitors the work that Hundred Houses provides. Our Governance framework consists of - Rules; Financial Regulations and Scheme of Delegations.

This is very important, as the Board must be accountable for the services Hundred Houses provides, such as the letting, management and maintenance of properties, financial matters, risk, policies, development of new homes and so on.

Furthermore as Hundred Houses receives income in the form of rents it must also be accountable to its residents.

All of this will be overseen by The Social Housing Regulator, who has the power to step in if things are poorly managed.

Hundred Houses Society Limited is a Registered Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014, with the Financial Conduct Authority.
