photograph of Whirlpool washing machine Whirlpool have announced that a further 21 Hotpoint and Indesit washing machine models have been added to the list being recalled due to a risk of overheating and fire.

You may have checked before but you will now need to check again, to see whether your machine is one of those which require repair or replacement.  If you think you may have one of the machines listed with the fault, then you should unplug it and not to use it until you have contacted Whirlpool directly.

You can check online or call Whirlpool’s free helpline on 0800 316 1442, with the model number of your washing machine.

Whirlpool, which owns Hotpoint and Indesit, said the recall programme is ongoing despite coronavirus restrictions.
