Have you heard about our Positive Action Fund?
We have set aside a budget to offer help to our customers on low incomes or in financial difficulty to provide small scale, one off payments. These payments can help with essential living costs and be for:
✓ Furniture, white goods and small household appliances
✓ Carpets, curtains and blinds
✓ Help with school or work costs such as travel and clothing
✓ Emergency gas or electric payments
✓ Supermarket vouchers
We know that help can sometimes be needed urgently, so when an application is made we assess cases on either an urgent basis (where assistance is required within 24 hours) or on a non-urgent basis (where we will assess within 5 working days).
Over the last 12 months, the most common type of support we have provided using the Positive Action Fund has been to provide floor coverings, new washing machines and cookers.
